This morning, while I was walking on the beach, I noticed a small coin glistening in the sun. On closer examination I could read the date 126BC. Thinking that this coin would obviously be worth something, I popped in to my local museum to ask their advice. They were very kind to me but informed me that the coin was worthless.
Why is the coin worthless?
The coin is worthless because it wouldn't have been known that the date was BC at the time of making.
